Visitors
The spring and summer were full for us. Fritz Lukas kicked off things in May with his welcomed arrival. In June, Grace had a week away on a farm in the country with her Kindergarten(with just the kids and teachers, can ya believe it). She had a great time being out on the land and everyone agreed it really suits her.
Then came July and the visitors. First came the Holmes'. Die Ganze Familie (mom,dad, sister Sari, Brother Barry with Billie and all four boyz). .
We had a little naming ceremony for Fritz Lukas which was nice. We got hold of a really hip rabbi from Hamburg who had some nice things to say. Strangely enough Lukas ended up falling asleep during it, just like both of the girls did at theirs.
It was really nice to have everyone together, albeit a little difficult at times, especially when it came to moving or feeding the whole clan. But, in heinsight I must say it was really a special memory.
We miss them all already but hope to see them again this winter in America.
After the Holmes' came Fritz' dad and Leslie.
They were great guests and we really enjoyed having them here. They spoiled us all and we thoroughly loved it. We managed to see a bit of the city and surroundings including a trip around Berlin by boat and a car trip to Potsdam.
Last but not least came Hanna, our new Aupair from Sweden, to join us. She is really sweet and just adores Fritz Lukas (excellent taste in boys). We are all settling down to normal life now. The kids are back in Kindergarten and we are all getting used to each other. It is great to have the extra set of hands around. We are starting to really enjoy our life and the last few weeks of glorious summer here in the capital of Germany
